George still fondly remembers and will never forget the "golden years" he was able to spend at Jose Risso Matellini ranch with the old great breeders, such as Sr. Grana, Sr. Fito Matellini, Sr. Musante Hurtado. They would all get together one weekend a month at Pepe Risso Matellini's ranch and George, Pepe Jr. and Edwardo would show the great breeders all of the "GREAT HORSES" of the ranch. It was a great time had by all, and he still cherishes and implements today in his training, judging and all aspects of breeding his horses today. George would also like to extend acknowledgment to Fernando Cerutti, Alfredo Elias Sr., and Sr. Luis Huguet. George was also blessed with the very rare opportunity to be taught the traditional Peruvian Paso training from two famous" Maestro's" Alfredo Leon and Pedro Torres (both won many first place winnings at the Peruvian Nationals in Peru in their time.) It is from these breeders and Maestro trainers that George Bendezu has developed his knowledge of breeding the Peruvian Paso Horse, and his own style of training combining the traditional Peruvian ways and European style of dressage. No other trainer of the Peruvian Paso horse, here in the Untied States and Central and South America can make the above statement, but George.
